We would like to place you into something that interests you if possible.
Have a look at these different tasks to get ideas, then we can have a conversation by phone or email on getting you involved.
TASKS for the organization as a whole:
< LEADERSHIP – we are looking for professionals who can help with steering our initiative (e.g. lobbying our governments)
< FUND RAISING
< GRAPHICS DESIGN (posters, etc; experience with an art program)
< PUBLIC RELATIONS (any ideas to get the word out)
< LIASON (communicate with other interested groups)
< VOLUNTEER coordinator ASSISTANT (interviewer)
< WEBSITE DESIGN (Word Press experience)
< MAP MAKING
< IT (to stream our public meetings online)
TASKS for LOCAL GROUPS:
We intend to lobby local governments in the E&N land grab area. So we have divided it into 3 smaller areas:
< South end (Victoria),
< Mid (Nanaimo),
< North end (Campbell R, Courtenay).

As of May 2024 the groups have not formed yet, so your ideas are appreciated.

< LEADER for SOUTH ISLAND (to lead a group in lobbying local government and promoting OTG e.g. rallies, etc)
< EVENTS ORGANIZER; and helpers
< PUBLIC RELATIONS (any ideas to get the word out)
< FUND RAISING
< PR / MEDIA / DISTRIBUTION of media (getting the word out)
< IT (to stream our public meetings online)
< SECRETARY
